Breast Procedures

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation procedures are designed to increase the size and enhance the shape of a woman's breasts. Full, well-balanced breasts can make a woman feel more feminine and attractive. The result of a breast augmentation is a more curvaceous, natural, sculpted look.

Breast augmentation procedures are usually performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. During this time, Dr. Krugman makes an incision around the areola (the dark circle of skin surrounding the nipple), and places a saline or silicone filled implant either under or above the pectoral muscles. Dr. Krugman will discuss with you the pros and cons of both planes. Once the implant is in place, Dr. Krugman stitches the incision closed.

Breast augmentation plays a significant role in our practice.

Breast Lift

Many women opt for a breast lift after pregnancy, nursing, excessive weight loss, or the natural aging process causes their breasts to lose their natural elasticity. When breasts begin to sag, a breast lift can take years off a woman's figure by correcting a fallen bust line and restoring natural, youthful curves.

During a breast lift procedure, Dr. Krugman trims away excess skin and tissue and tightens and lifts each breast. He then trims remaining tissue and repositions the nipples to create a natural-looking, youthful bust line.

Breast Reduction

Women with oversized breasts are often self-conscious and physically uncomfortable. Back and neck pain are a daily occurrence for many women with exceptionally large, heavy breasts. In such cases, Dr. Krugman often recommends breast reduction surgery to make the breasts smaller, lighter, and more proportionate to the body.
