The Practice

Dr. Krugman's Surgery Center is a fully accredited facility staffed with highly trained board certified anesthesiologists and registered nurses.

For over two decades, Mark Evans Krugman, M.D., has been serving Southern Californians with skill and artistry in the areas of plastic surgery and hair restoration. Dr. Krugman's cosmetic surgery practice has been built upon the referrals of previous patients who have experienced the fine, natural results of his expertise. From extreme makeovers to subtle enhancements, Dr. Krugman's backgrounds in both art and science, as well as his affinity for perfectionism, have given him a reputation for excellence.

Dr. Krugman inherited his appreciation for art from his mother, who was both an artist herself and a gallery owner. When Dr. Krugman completed his BA in humanities at Union College in Schenectady, New York, it was fitting that he took his major field examinations in art history. Science, however, soon followed.

When Dr. Krugman moved on to medical school at the University of Maryland Medical School, he became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After medical school, Dr. Krugman performed internships and residencies in surgery and otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York .

After serving as a major in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps at Strategic Air Command Headquarters, Dr. Krugman joined the faculty at the UCLA Division of Head and Neck Surgery. From 1974 to 1976, he served a residency in plastic surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He has practiced in Orange County, California, since 1976.

Dr. Krugman is currently a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and numerous plastic surgery organizations. He has authored and co-authored over 50 articles and book reviews in medical literature, and currently teaches at UC Irvine. Dr. Krugman is listed in Best Doctors in America for Plastic Surgery.
